haiku 09/30/2007

Dexter starts tonight!
And High School Musical 2
is on at eight. Yay!

High School Musical
2 not as good as the first,
but still cute. Yay Troy!

How can I feel for
a serial killer? Dex!
Keep your work hidden!

haiku 09/29/2007

Qualifying at
one A.M. Lewis on pole,
Kimi will start third.

Relaxing day. Slept
in, hung around, napped, went to
Target. Bought cute stuff.

Trying my hand
at HDRI photos. Neat
but tricky technique.

Lewis won Japan
in the rain. It was a soaked
mess. Kimi got third.

Now Lewis leads by
twelve points. Two races are left.
Rookie champ? Maybe!

written for Haiku Friday in AM

Friday, you've arrived!
You sure took your frickin' time.
But you're here now. Good.

Annual review
at 3. Makes me want to hurl.
Have to wait all day.

Starbucks, you're my friend.
No plans this weekend. Hoping
for some rest and peace.

Annual review
today. Still hate them, even
after 10 years. Ugh!

But it went okay.
Phew! Six months until the next
one. That's a ways off.

haiku 09/27/2007

Dorky Scrabble, Tom
C. style! Lots of super
nerdy "words. A hoot!

Sara, will you make
it? Did the Mini-Killer
kill you? Poor Grissom.

Oh, you're safe! It was
touch-and-go for awhile.
Vegas is safe now.

Michael, what stupid
things will you do this season?
Pam and Jim? I hope!

Michael ran over
Meredith with his car! Dwight
killed Angela's cat!

Ooh, they kissed! Pam and
Jim kissed! Let's hope it's sweet and
not all drama-filled.

Congrats to Mark and

Couldn't be better. [photo]

Wedding on the beach.
Reception in the house. We
were out on the deck.

It all was lovely.
Blue and brown, everywhere. Theme:
Shells and sand and beach. [photo]

Bit of a tan on
my shoulder; sat right in the
sun. Dress worked out great! [photo]

Turns out the tan is
a bit of a burn! Shoulders
and arms and nose, too.

bad. Now it's over.

haiku 09/14/2007

This haiku stanza
is the 90th you've read.
You've read them all, right?

My haiku-a-day
project is now one month old!
Happy Haikuday!

Part poetry, part
photo album - I love my
goofy new hobby.

Three hundred thirty-
five days left. That's a bunch of
stanzas of haiku!

haiku 09/13/2007

Mark didn't hate his
desk TOO much! The confetti
will never be gone!

McLaren fined one
hundred million dollars for
Stepney-gate. Holy...!

Lewis and Freddy
can keep their points, but the team
is done for the year.

Ferrari clinched the
constructors' championship
with McLaren's loss.

Decorated poor
Mark's desk.  Boy, is he going
to be revolted!

Dinner with Eileen.
Cheesecake Factory - our fave.
Cheesecake is yum-o!

haiku 09/11/2007

Today is the first
Tuesday since the Tuesday the
Towers tumbled down.

The memories of
that day are clear, 'though six years
have crawled - and flown - by.

The radio still
yaps non-stop about the war.
Will it never end?

Ten years with TerpSys
announced at today's meeting.
One-third of my life!

And, the six years since
9-11 is about
one-fifth of my life.

So many events
during my short life. What do
the next thirty hold?

haiku 09/07/2007

Written for Haiku Friday at 3:52 AM:

Okay, so it's kind
of early to start Haiku
Friday! But, oh well :)

Not sure how much I
will be around tomorrow -
getting it done now!

It's very late! Or
is it very early?? Who
knows? Happy Friday!

Written later on:

Happy birthday to
me! Happy birthday to me!
Thirty-two years old!

Taken out for both
breakfast and dinner! And watched
Casino Royale.

Beautiful roses,
red and white, a surprise at
the Silver Diner. [8219, 8242]

Turtle bracelet from
Dad. Pandora charm from Mom.
Two Red Sox stickers.

Lots of nice cards, and
Chinese Checkers from Steffie!
Also got phone calls.

From T: a tripod,
and a cute TV for my
office. Fun surprise!

It was a great day.
Terry always does it right.
I'm a lucky gal!

haiku 09/06/2007

Today? National
Fight Procrastination Day.
I celebrated:

Finally finished
a big work project! Worked on
it for months. Yahoo!

Tomorrow? Someone's
birthday! Who? I'm not sure. I'll
find out pretty soon!

haiku 09/05/2007

Two days to you-know-
what! Special plans? No idea.
A surprise? Maybe!

Thirty-two in two
days. Thirty-three not too far
away. Woe is me!

My gray hairs say this
did not sneak up on me, but
smacked me in the face.

But I am about
twenty-two at heart, and that
is what matters most!

haiku 09/04/2007

written on 09/05/2007

Yesterday? But a
memory. Work, grocery store,
dinner, Dexter, sleep.

Some days are like that!
'Specially the ones after
a nice long weekend.
